Welcome to Troop 369!

Welcome to the web site of Troop 369! Our troop can provide you and your son the opportunity to participate in activities that are not available to many other boys of his age.  The goal of our troop and the Boy Scouts of America Program is to build our Scouts into successful young men of exceptional honor and character. The Boy Scouts of America Program will also provide our Scouts with ample opportunities to improve their teamwork and leadership skills.

See why you won't be disappointed when you join us for fun and adventure!

Camping at Gifford Pinchot State Park April 26-28

Posted by scampanella on Mar 24 2024 - 2:48pm

The 2,338-acre Gifford Pinchot State Park is in northern York County along PA 177 between the towns of Rossville and Lewisberry. The park consists of wooded areas and hillsides from reverted farm fields surrounding the 340-acre Pinchot Lake, which serves as the prime attraction.

This park has it all!  Large lake for boating and fishing, dozens of hiking tails including a piece of the mason-dixon trail, and modern facilities. We will be camping in the organized group tenting area E.  We have water and bathrooms within 200 yards.  We should get in a morning hike and a free afternoon for scout development or fun at the lake.

Cleanup day at Visitation - Saturday, April 13

Posted by scampanella on Mar 24 2024 - 2:47pm

Saturday April 13, 9:00 am

It was nice while it lasted... While it served us well throughout the pandemic its time to pack up our tent and cleanup our outdoor meeting space.  If we get enough help this should go pretty quickly.  I would like to meet at 9:00 am, please wear work clothes.

I would like to salvage the fabric but the aluminum frame was destroyed this past winter.  We expect to load the aluminum on the small trailer and take it to a salvage yard.  Please make yourself available to help!

Camping Trip - Valley Forge Encampment

Posted by scampanella on Mar 2 2024 - 10:50am
Before wintering at Valley Forge the Continental Army attacked the British troops in what is now the Germantown and Mount Airy sections of Philadelphia. This action, "The Battle of Germantown played an important role in the outcome of the Revolutionary War. Although the British won the battle, the Continental Army had finally gone on the offensive and attacked the British. This gave the soldiers and the patriots a renewed confidence that they could win the war."
